A JURY is deliberating its verdict at the trial into the murder of former Salisbury City FC steward Paula Poolton.

Following a six-week trial, the jury was sent out at lunchtime on Wednesday to consider its verdict in the case that sees Roger Kearney accused of stabbing to death his lover.

Kearney, 57, of Painswick Close, Sarisbury Green, denies murdering 40-year-old Paula, who was found stabbed to death in the boot of her car, near Swanwick Railway Station, in October 2008.
