STUDENTS and staff at a Salisbury school bade a fond farewell to a woman who has spent more than three decades ensuring they get a good hot meal at lunchtimes.
Catering manager Janet Wyatt retired on Thursday after 34 years at Salisbury High School.
Mrs Wyatt has worked under three headteachers in her current position and seen three children and four grandchildren attend the school, with her grandson due to join shortly.
She said: “I am so lucky to have been part of a very caring community where the students and staff all look out for one another.
“There is a great atmosphere in the school and it has been a pleasure to work here.”
She now plans to do some part time work preparing lunches for elderly people and will enjoy more time with her family.
