A FOOD bank and a hospice are set to benefit from this year’s New Forest District Council charity golf event.

The Charity Pro-Am is being held at Dibden Golf Centre on July 16, with funds raised going to the chairman’s charities – New Forest Basics Bank and Oakhaven Hospice in Lymington.

The Pro-Am has been one of the most successful events on the Hampshire PGA circuit for more than 20 years.

Council chairman Pat Wyeth said: “This is a great event to raise funds for my two charities, as well as providing healthy exercise and enjoyment for all participants."

There are still places available for amateur teams of three or individual players. Contact Paul Smith or John Slade on 02380 84 5596.
