COUNTRY dancing, stalls and competitions added to the fun in Mere at the weekend as the parish church held its annual fete.
Col John Blashford Snell from the Drake & Raleigh Expedition as its opened the fete on Saturday.
Childen from Zeals Primary School gave a display of country dancing and Mere Brownies Tigan, Robyn and Charlotte ran a guess how many sweets in the jar competition.
