MEMBERS of Royal British Legion branches across the county gathered in Wilton on Sunday for the annual parade and service of rededication.
Beginning at the market square, the parade marched to St Mary and St Nicholas Church for a service at 3pm, before reforming and marching past the Lord Lieutenant John Bush, who took this year’s salute.
Monika Geoghegan, county manager, said: “We chose Wilton because it was the anniversary of D-Day, and so much of the work for D-Day was done at Wilton House.
“We had a tremendous turnout and it went very well.”
Refreshments and a raffle were held at the Michael Herbert Hall.
