GET rid of any unwanted children’s toys, clothes and books and you could help local worthy causes and even pick which charity benefits.
TEDS (Toy Exchange and Donate Scheme), launched by Liz Wells and Dana Elsworth, last year, allows people to donate items which are then cleaned and checked before being sold on for charity.
Regular sales are held throughout Wiltshire, Hampshire and Dorset to raise money for local causes.
Those attending the sales are asked to fill out a questionnaire suggesting causes that could benefit.
A sale was held at the United Reform Church in Salisbury at the end of May and the next will be at Greyfriars in Ringwood on June 26, with a return to the United Reform Church on July 24. TEDS will also be at Wilton Carnival on July 3 to tell people more about what they do.
To donate any unwanted items call TEDS on 01425 489519 or 07795 109559 or find out more at www.tedstoysales.co.uk.
