A SPECIALIST charity catering for children with additional needs has been given an “outstanding” rating by government inspectors.
Ofsted Inspectors praised the staff and the quality and standards of early years provision at the John McNeill Opportunity Centre, Odstock Road.
The report said: “Children are happy and settled within the calm setting and relate exceptionally well to the staff.
“Most children enter the setting with ease and children who are transported by the mini bus greet staff with enthusiasm and big smiles on their arrival.
“Children are safeguarded well because staff have a very good understanding of the child protection policy and the procedures to follow.”
Manager Angela Bryant said: “We are delighted that the hard work and dedication of staff has been recognised by Ofsted.
“Our commitment to meeting the needs of the children and families has enabled us to provide an outstanding setting where all those attend are welcomed and supported.”
