CITY let slip a 3-1 lead away at Chippenham and were forced to settle for a share of the spoils in a 3-3 draw.
Rob Gallagher scored all three of the Whites' goals - his first coming after just 15 minutes following a well-worked free kick.
He then converted a spot kick to put City 2-0 up at the break after Olly Hoare was clumsily bundled over in the box.
On a boggy pitch, Whites visibly tired in the second half and the hosts pulled one back with goalkeeper William Twort performing heroics to keep Chippenham from adding to their tally.
Gallagher completed his trio with a spectacular shot from well outside of the box. However, as City ran out of steam, Chippenham took advantage, scoring twice to level the scores.
