A YOUNG tennis player from has been helping spread festive cheer after winning a competition by TeamBath to design a Christmas card.
Children aged up to 14 were invited to enter the competition to design its official Christmas card, resulting in more than 70 colourful entries.
The winning entry was designed by 12-year-old Chantal White, whose card showed a Christmas tree adorned with tennis balls and topped off with a netball net.
Some 2,000 copies of the card have now been printed and have been distributed around the country.
Chantal, a pupil from Trafalgar School in Downton, attends TeamBath Tennis Academy’s junior development programme at the University of Bath once a week.
She is also a keen netball player and a fan of TeamBath and England player Pamela Cookey, who presented her with a framed version of her card and the original copy at a recent match Chantal attended.
