CLASSES to help fight the post-Christmas flab are on offer to the public at St Edmund’s School, Salisbury.
The ‘Body Sculpt’ sessions are part of a new programme of enrichment activities for the community, to be launched on January 11, costing just £2 each.
They will run from 6-8pm on Mondays. The first hour will incorporate yoga and Pilates with body conditioning exercises to strengthen and sculpt muscles. The second half will be a fitness-based session using Wii Fit and six new state-of-the-art exercise bikes.
Also on offer are taster lessons in crafts, led by artist Sif Wolthers. These will run on Thursdays from 6-8pm, and also cost £2. Jewellery making, mosaics, glass and silk painting are among the crafts covered, and students will be able to choose what they want to pursue further.
The school’s deputy head Naomi Routledge said: “We look forward to expanding the programme in the near future and making it as varied as possible.”
