WILTSHIRE’S public sector organisations are inviting people to comment on equality issues.
NHS Wiltshire, Wiltshire Police, Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service and Wiltshire Council are co-operating in attempts to improve their provision of equal opportunities.
Council leader Jane Scott said: “We want to hear ideas and suggestions on how we can improve our services and make sure we provide an inclusive and fair service to the people of Wiltshire and our staff.”
The project will inform the equalities action plans of all the organisations involved and information will be shared across the voluntary and community sector to help plan services.
Suzanne Tewksebury, director of human resources at NHS Wiltshire, said: “As combined public sector organisations, we aim to be a force for positive change in public services.”
After a period of canvassing opinion from groups and organisations, an engagement event will take place in February where individuals will be able to offer their opinions in person.
