YOUNG and old alike from across the region joined forces on Sunday to remember those who have died serving their country.
They paid their respects to those who fought in the first and second world wars and those who have fought since, including those recently killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
In Fordingbridge wreaths were laid at the memorial gates before a parade led by Hyde Band marched through the town to St Mary’s Church for a remembrance service.
In Alderholt wreaths were laid outside the church before a service took place inside.
Ringwood’s parade took place after a service at the parish church. The march proceeded down the high Street to the war memorial where wreaths were laid.
In Verwood a parade marched from St Michael and All Angels Church to the memorial stone on Ferret Green for wreath laying.
