TWO soldiers serving with Bulford-based 4th Battalion The Rifles have been killed in Afghanistan over Remembrance Weekend.
One of the soldiers died on Saturday afternoon in an explosion near Sangin in central Helmand.
He was from 2nd Battalion the Rifles but was serving with 4 Rifles.
The second soldier died yesterday from injuries sustained in an explosion that also happened near Sangin.
He was from 4th Battalion the Rifles and serving with the 3 Rifles battle group.
Spokesman for Task Force Helmand, Lieutenant Colonel David Wakefield, said: "He died a soldier, doing his duty, and among his fellow soldiers he will not be forgotten."
Next of kin of both men have been informed but their names have not yet been confirmed.
The latest fatalities bring the death toll among British soldiers serving in Afghanistan to 201.
Last week 128 members of 4 Rifles returned home to Bulford.
On Sunday members of the public joined former servicemen and the families of serving soldiers at Remembrance services in Salisbury, Wilton, Downton, Tisbury and Amesbury.
