A FIREWORKS fiesta will ensure that the 150th anniversary celebrations of St Edmund’s School, Laverstock, go with a bang.
Past and present pupils and staff and their families are welcome at the event on the school field from 6pm on November 20.
The birthday celebrations begin with a St Edmund’s Day service at the school on the Monday before.
During the service the Anniversary Cup, bought with money raised through an appeal letter in the Journal, will be blessed and presented by the Past Pupils’ Partnership to last year’s head girl Anna Goodman.
During the spring term there will be an exhibition at the school 150 years of learning at St Edmund’s, including images from the county records office.
And highlights of the summer will include an anniversary concert at Salisbury Playhouse on June 21, a tea party for past pupils at the school on June 26, and a fete and picnic at the school in the final fortnight of term.
More information will be available on the school website.
