LIBRARY users had the chance to get their blood pressure checked and find out more about strokes as part of World Stroke Day.
Judy Cronan, the stroke nurse co-ordinator at Salisbury District Hospital, and Emma Heard, a support worker with the Stroke Association, organised the event at Salisbury Library last week to raise awareness, as high blood pressure is one of the risk factors associated with strokes.
About 75 people had the check done, and two were advised to visit their doctor. People were also advised about other risk factors.
