PLANS for a new one bedroom flat in Salisbury were turned down by councillors on Thursday due to a lack of space for recycling and rubbish bins.
Members of Wiltshire Council’s southern area planning committee felt the application could not adequately address concerns raised about storage space by a planning inspector when dismissing an appeal on a previous application without losing too much space.
Chairman Fred Westmoreland said: “I do believes we need smaller properties but I also believe we need a quality of design that this does not show. This one is that little step too small.”
