VILLAGERS in Landford did not let a damp dark autumn day stop them from enjoying a charity lunch on Saturday.
More than 170 people attended the lunch to raise money for Nomansland Pre-School and Landford Village Hall. The event was organised by a dedicated committee from both organisations and raised £850.
People paid £3.99 for a two-course meal of soup and Ploughman’s Lunch with food donated from Les Mirabelles and The Lamb in Nomansland, Lyburn Farm and the New Forest Farm Shop in Hamptworth, Haywoods Farm in Landford and Morrisons in Totton.
Several local businesses also sponsored the event and there was a raffle with donated prizes, as well as an art display by local artists and cards, giftwrap and jewellery for sale.
