STUDENTS at St Joseph’s School celebrated the achievements of the last year at their annual prize giving ceremony last week.
Achievement and effort prizes in most subjects were handed out to children in Years 7 to 10 and there were several special awards presented.
Simon Mebrautu and Grace Hooper were presented with the Head Boy and Head Girl awards. Best Key Stage 3 Performance went to Szymon Kraszynski and Louise Egrement received the Best Key Stage 4 Performance award.
Ryan Blackburn and Oliver Mercer were both awarded the O’Boyle Maths Prize, Tom Rogers won the Endeavour Shield and Rebekah Spencer-Smith was presented with the Governor’s Effort Prize.
Luke Batchelor got the John Eadie Sports Cup, Jade Taylor was presented with the Hambly Trophy and Megan Martin was awarded the Laverstock Parish Council Civic Responsibility Cup.
During the ceremony there was also a performance by the school choir and a blessing by Father Thomas Dubois.
