TWO members of staff from the Salisbury Britannia store joined nine other colleagues from Dorchester and Poole to take on a marine challenge for charity.
The 11-strong team tackled the gruelling Royal Marine Commando Challenge, which includes cross-country running, water tunnels and mud baths, to test their endurance levels to the limit to raise money for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust and the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
Emma Rose, manager of Britannia’s Salisbury branch, said: “The event was great fun, a real challenge that gave a glimpse of what it takes to be a Royal Marine. Covered in mud, but feeling very proud of our achievement, we crossed the finish line having raised £1,300 – a fantastic team effort.”
