IT had been more than 60 years for some while others are a familiar sight at the school gates as they drop off or pick up their grandchildren.
But all were given a warm welcome at Norman Court Prep School as they returned to school for the day.
About 90 grandparents came from all over the country to go to lessons with pupils.
They were treated to lunch followed by a concert from the school’s musicians and several choirs. Then it was straight to work in the classrooms as part of a tour of the school.
