CHILDREN, staff and parents in Codford have good reason to be proud as their pre-school has been judged as ‘outstanding’ by Government inspectors.
They celebrated the verdict of Ofsted inspectors on Caterpillars Pre-School at an annual Harvest Supper and fun auction.
Manager Kim West said "The Harvest Supper has been the perfect occasion to help us celebrate the school's 'outstanding' achievement as we have been able to share our success with all those who are so important to the pre-school, including parents, committee members, staff and local people, all of whom are so supportive of Caterpillars.
“The judgement is a fantastic result for us which reflects in the commitment and dedication that goes into our pre-school by all who are associated with it. We have an incredible spirit within this school which is evident the minute you walk through the door.
The Harvest Supper was organised and run by staff, committee members and parents from the school and was well supported by everyone, including members of surrounding villages and the local community.
About 160 people went along and it is thought the event raised more than £3,000 for the school, which is a registered charity.
