THERE are celebrations in Coombe Bissett after it was named as the winner in the business category of the Calor Village of the Year.
The village fought off competition from seven others in the region and will now go through to the national finals.
Its success follows a recent visit from the judges who were looking for a sense of community, business opportunities, sustainability and prospects for the future, and communications.
The village now has a few weeks to wait before finding out if it has triumphed in the national competition and scooped a £500 prize.
Details of the national winners will be revealed on November 24.
