Earn While You Learn Joining the British Army not only prepares you physically, but also mentally, for a successful career. Many of the jobs on offer in the Army provide vocational training and education, resulting in qualifications which you can take into civilian jobs if you leave the Army. The education is free and you earn a soldiers wage and gain all the benefits of being in the Army while you train and learn.
Lt Col Simon Johns, who is responsible for Army recruitment in the South West says: " The Army is an excellent career option for young men and women to join an organisation where there is a structured learning and educational environment whilst also bringing out the best in them physically.
" On top of gaining recognised vocational qualifications, particularly in the trades, young people will benefit from making life long friends, they'll experience adventure training and travel, participate in sports - often at high levels - and be able to progress their career with promotions which result in increased pay and benefits."
