THERE were nine incidents of drivers colliding with New Forest animals last week including two hit and run incidents.
On Monday October 12 a white calf was hit by a vehicle at Rockford Green at 1pm. The animal could not be found afterwards.
On Wednesday a pony was injured after an accident.
Thursday saw four accidents, with a Jenny foal injured at 6.45am on the C10 at Vereley.
A grey yearling filly was injured in a hit and run incident at 6.55am at Burbush, Burley and at 8.20am a bay mare was also injured in a hit and run incident at Setley on the C10. Both animals had to be destroyed.
On Thursday at 7pm a dark bay filly was injured in an accident in the Forest.
On Friday at 6.15pm a chestnut mare was hit by a vehicle on a New Forest road, but was not injured and a grey filly foal was hit at 6.50pm. The foal had to be destroyed.
A grey mare was injured after collision with a vehicle on Saturday.
