A SPECIAL fundraising calendar has gone on sale to raise money for Dogs Trust Salisbury.
The calendar, called Dogs Day 2010, features portraits of nine dogs from across the city, plus three from Warminster.
The lucky pooches had their snaps taken by Trinity Photography between April 15 and July 15, and were picked as the top 12 when the public voted at the Dogs Trust Salisbury’s open day in August.
The calendar was then printed by Baskerville Press of Salisbury, and is available to buy from Trinity Photography or the trust’s centre in Newton Tony.
“The competition to make the top 12 was fierce but the public can always spot a dog with The ‘Rex’ Factor,” said supporter relations officer Leslie Gold Carley.
“We’re very pleased with the calendar and all the dogs entered really were picture perfect pooches.
“We’ve already had a generous donation from the portrait booking fees and will receive 100 per cent of calendar sales. All money raised will go directly to help provide for the dogs in our care.”
