WILTSHIRE men and women are being urged to seize their last chance to enter Cancer Research UK’s Run 10k at Longleat.
Over a thousand people have already risen to the challenge by entering the event, being held on Saunday, and there are just 163 places left.
Entry closes tomorrow and organisers are encouraging runners of all abilities who want to take part to sign up as soon as possible.
Cancer Research UK’s Run 10k is a series of 41 fundraising events which will take place throughout the UK this autumn. It is hoped 1,200 participants will enter the event at Longleat and hit a fundraising target of £59,041. In 2008, 830 men and women took part and helped raise £46,183.
Natasha Russell, Cancer Research UK’s Event Manager for Longleat, said: “We are delighted that 1036 people have already entered Run 10k at Longleat. Together, they will help us create a fantastic atmosphere on the day and raise crucial funds to help beat cancer.
“We don’t want anyone to miss out so we are reminding people who want to take part that they must enter as soon as possible before registration closes.”
