GENEROUS Journal readers have helped raise £600 to send emergency aid to those affected by the Pacific tsunamis.
This means the Rotary Club of Amesbury can order at least 12 more Aquaboxes in addition to the three already dispatched and three more now being filled.
The boxes are filled with essential survival items as well as the water filtration equipment, enough to provide a family of four with drinkable water of a month. The emptied box acts as the water storage and filtration facility, with water being drawn off from the tap provided.
Anyone who wants to donate can send cheques payable to the Rotary Club of Amesbury to John Haywood, 28 Earls Court Road, Amesbury, SP4 7NB.
