A session to support people living with fibromyalgia and lupus has been held at a Salisbury care home.
The Salisbury UK Fibromyalgia Support Group held the event at Cedars Care Home, in Landford.
The session, which was hosted by the group’s committee members Mike Hodgson, Joy Denman and Tracey McBurney, started with a presentation that dispelled myths and highlighted the condition, its symptoms and available medications.
The committee members shared their personal experiences which encouraged others to do the same.

Helen Nash, local community care co-ordinator, said: "Such a positive, well-attended talk, a safe place for people to share their experiences."
Anish Abraham, general manager of Cedars Care Home, said he was delighted to offer one of the home’s lounges for the session.
Attendees were also treated to homemade cakes and refreshments.
The group meets at the Red Lion Hotel in Milford Street, Salisbury, on the third Tuesday of each month, from 1pm to 2.30pm.
Daniela Centola, social prescriber for Downton GP Surgery, said: "I went along to one of the group’s sessions at the Red Lion, everyone was so welcoming and willing to share their knowledge."
The group is affiliated with Fibromyalgia Action UK (FMA) and Joy Denman is the FMA regional co-ordinator.
