Amateur theatre group the Bemerton Players have had their pantomime performances watched by more than half a million people worldwide.

The group based in Salisbury began sharing recordings of their shows on YouTube more than a decade ago.

John Bruce, the theatre group's videographer, said: "We started putting recordings of our pantomimes on YouTube just over 10 years ago so those involved could see their performances as the audience did, then we noticed more and more views of them were happening."

The recordings of the group's 10 pantos have now had a total of more than 500,000 views.

John said their latest recording of their panto, Knight Fever, based on Arthurian Legends, could get even more views.
