Salisbury EcoHub Alliance has reported a successful year of free thermal imaging camera surveys.

Members and supporters of the group gathered at the Quaker Meeting House, in Wilton Road, on Wednesday, November 20, for the charity's second annual general meeting, which was attended by Salisbury City mayor Cllr Sven Hocking.

The group, formed two and a half years ago, comprises members and representatives from 20 voluntary organisations focused on environmental conservation and climate change awareness.

The thermal imaging camera surveys reportedly helped more than 80 homes last winter.

As colder weather approaches, surveys have restarted for the winter season.

Residents have benefitted by identifying areas of heat loss in their homes, enabling them to improve insulation, giving them the opportunity to save on fuel bills and decrease carbon emissions.

Residents can book a free home survey at the market stall or by emailing salisburyecohub@gmail.com.

Wiltshire Council now lends out thermal imaging cameras from Salisbury Library, although there's a waiting list.

EcoHub members plan to provide thermal imaging advice sessions in the library soon.

The meeting also discussed the group’s ongoing search for shared premises in central Salisbury for its member groups.
