A SALISBURY man is due to be sentenced after he admitted to stealing thousands of pounds, causing criminal damage and assaulting a police officer.
On October 4, Edward Trevitt, of Barnard Street, damaged a car wing mirror, smashed a window at a Costa Coffee shop and attacked an on-duty constable in the city.
The 26-year-old pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal damage and indicated a guilty plea to assaulting an emergency worker at Salisbury Magistrates' Court on October 7.
Ten days later, he indicated guilt to two burglaries he had carried out in October 2023, when stole more than £1,300 from two bakeries in Sidmouth, Devon.
He first targeted Jar Bakery on Fore Street on October 7, taking £725.55, before trespassing into the stockroom of The Bagel Shop on Cross Lane on October 25, stealing £593.95.
Trevitt had already indicated guilt to fraud by false representation in August in relation to an offence he carried out in October 2022, when he withdrew £807.63 using a bank card that did not belong to him, also in Sidmouth.
At his latest hearing at Salisbury Magistrates' Court, held on November 18, Trevitt was told that he will be sentenced on December 12.
He was granted conditional bail and told to live and sleep at his Barnard Street address.
