A Salisbury arcade is launching weekly sessions for people with special educational needs (SEN).

The Highest Score Arcade, in the Cross Keys Shopping Centre, Queen Street, will host the sessions every Tuesday from 4pm to 6pm.

The sessions, starting on December 3, will be a "calm and inclusive environment" for people with SEN, with the arcade being reserved for group bookings only.

There will be softened lighting and no background music or game sounds.

"Our goal is to offer SEN families and groups in Salisbury an opportunity to experience the joy of gaming in an inclusive and supportive setting.

"Whether it’s practising hand-eye coordination, making new friends or simply enjoying the games at their own pace, these sessions are all about creating positive experiences."

The arcade said the sessions will provide a "unique, sensory-friendly experience that encourages social interaction, enhances hand-eye coordination, and builds confidence in a relaxed setting".

The sessions are by booking only and can be reserved via the website at highestscorearcade.com/sen-sessions.

Spaces are limited to maintain a comfortable environment, so early booking is advised.

It costs £11 per person, but carers go free.
