A new Macmillan Cancer Support Information Hub has just been opened at Salisbury District Hospital.
The hub is located inside the main entrance of the hospital and is operated by Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, Cancer Care Support staff and trained volunteers. The Hub offers a drop-in service, Monday - Friday, running from 9am to 3pm.
Judy Dyos, Chief Nursing Officer, said: “We are pleased to provide this new service for people living with and beyond cancer and their loved ones, and are grateful to Macmillan Cancer Support for their generous grant for making this possible".

Macmillan Cancer Support hubs have been popping up all over the country and range from specific cancer treatment support to generic support for patients and family members who are or have been suffering from cancer.
Luke Curtis, Lead Cancer Nurse at the Trust, said “The Hub Team will use Holistic Needs Assessments to identify areas of concern, signposting people to relevant services such as health & wellbeing events, support groups, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy".
If you have any cancer concerns or if you would like more information then you can head to the NHS Salisbury website or visit Macmillan Cancer Support to find your nearest Information hub.
