A Salisbury care home has collected 34 Christmas boxes for charity.

Residents at Milford House Care Home have been busy over the past few weeks collecting, sorting and wrapping their Christmas boxes for the second year in a row.

The wrapped shoeboxes contain gifts of all shapes and sizes sorted into boxes for infants through to adults.

On Thursday, November 21, they were delivered to the House of Opportunity collection depot at Woodfalls, where they will join boxes donated from all over the country.

General manager at Milford House, Aga Musial, said: "We must say a huge thank you to residents, staff, family members, friends and visitors who have so generously donated the items that we have packed up.

"The response was amazing, and thank you to everyone who helped us to wrap, sort, pack, and deliver the boxes. We couldn't have done it without you.

"Through this wonderful initiative, we are able to play our small part in spreading some Christmas joy and hopefully bring a smile to someone at this special time of year."

One of the residents involved in the wrapping and packing said: "It is nice to think of our boxes going on their journey and being opened so far away."
