I recently spent two months in Salisbury District Hospital after a sudden illness.
From the moment the ambulance crew arrived, I was treated with great care and kindness.
After arriving, I was placed in the isolation ward, which has been recently built from the Star Appeal funding.
Again, I couldn't have asked for better care. After 10 days, I was placed in the Imber ward in the new unit, and I can't praise all the staff enough for their excellent care.
I finally ended up in Piton ward, where, once again, I received excellent care.
What was a very worrying time was eased so much by the care and support of all the staff who helped with my rehabilitation.
The NHS then sent me to a rehabilitation centre to continue my recovery, and finally, an ambulance brought me home.
From the beginning to the end, Salisbury Hospital staff far exceeded my expectations in their duty of care and beyond.
So, in a time of negativity, I wanted to spread the positive work of our hospital and say a massive thank you.
