With regards to your report about Alexandra Boyd having to resign from the Council because of accessibility she is correct - the chair lift is not suitable for a wheel chair and also there is no disabled toilet!
Some years ago before the chair lift was put in the there was a disabled councillor elected and the Council met in the Catholic Church and recently after the Covid lockdown the Council met in the Community Centre in West St, a building suitable for wheelchairs.
In fact it was in the Community Centre following the Council Elections in 2021 that I was elected Mayor following that election.
Since that election, 13 cllrs have resigned and three paid staff, I think it is about time for the governence at Wiltshire Council to instigate an inquiry into the workings of Wilton Town Council!
Yours faithfully
Philip Matthews
Former Mayor and Wilton Town Cllr
