A new acoustic duo and a local rock band will be bringing a night of live music to the Wylye Valley this weekend.
Head down to the Royal Oak in Great Wishford on Saturday (November 23) for live music from local acts Daisy Chain and The Five Whole Minutes.
Daisy Chain are a five piece band with their own take on rock classics. The Five Whole Minutes are an acoustic duo made up of singer-songwriters Mimi Henstridge and James Newton. After an impromptu singalong at Sarum Guitars in the Cross Keys the pair decided to bring together their love of melodies and storytelling through a mixture of original songs and covers. Neither James or Mimi are strangers to the local music scene – Mimi was in Timid Deer and James plays in local rock band Jambo Reign.
The night provides the ideal opportunity to check out the Royal Oak – a cosy country pub, which was given a new lease of life earlier this year by Rude Giant Brew Company.
Entry is free and the night kicks off at 7pm.
