The exhibition will cover all genres (Image: Ian Byers) From landscapes and portraits to astro and street photography, the exhibition covers all genres.

There is also a selection of architectural, creative, abstract, sports, equipment and travel photography, in both full colour and monochrome.

The prime aim of the SCPF is to promote and encourage the art and practice of photography within its member clubs and to foster interest in photography amongst the wider public.

Formed in 1953, the SCPF covers mainly, but not exclusively, the South of England, stretching from Wiltshire and East Dorset to West Sussex, up to Berkshire, and including the Isle of Wight, the Channel Islands and Gibraltar.

Currently, there are 70 clubs within the SCPF, with around 3,300 members.

The Young Gallery, an art museum situated on the first floor of Salisbury Library, houses a collection of more than 4,000 items, including artworks, prints, sculpture, books and photography.

The collection began with more than 300 watercolour paintings depicting scenes of Salisbury and its surroundings by Edwin Young, the gallery's namesake.

In the 1970s, the collection was augmented with approximately 2,000 books in more than 20 languages, manuscripts, and book jacket designs related to the crime and thriller writer John Creasey.

The gallery now features works by artists such as Robin Tanner, Edgar Barclay and William Goldsmith, along with prints by J.M.W. Turner, John Constable, David Hockney and Henry Moore.

The Young & Creasey Gallery Trust, which manages the Young Gallery, is an independent charitable trust (charity number 1186571), with Wiltshire Council as its sole trustee.

The gallery is open Monday through Saturday, from 10am to 5pm, and is closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
