CHRISTMAS is here in Salisbury.
The city's festive celebrations kicked off on Friday, November 15 with a grand event in the Salisbury Market Place lasting from 1pm until 8pm.
Hundreds of people gathered in crowds to enjoy live music, entertainment, festive stalls, food and drink during the opening of the free Christmas on the Square event.

Christmas on the Square will run from Friday, November 15 to Wednesday, January 5. The event is being sponsored by Southern Western Railway, with Salisbury City Council, Charter 1227 Catering and Vizual Koncept partnering up again this season to bring delicious food, warming drinks, and live music evenings to the city.
Santa’s Grotto will be running from November 15 to Tuesday, December 24. Located in the Guildhall Square, attendees will be able to gather around to hear a Christmas story, enjoy festive activities, and meet with Santa.
Each child will also receive a gift straight from Santa’s workshop.

New for 2024, the Gift Fayre will run from Friday, November 22 to Tuesday, December 19.
The event will see Salisbury City Council and Mynt Image present an enclosed, covered outdoor shopping experience featuring more than twenty local artisans and makers.
The Sunday Festive Markets are also returning. These will take place on the first four Sundays of December in Salisbury Market Place, with a range of vendors offering their wares.
