A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital following a crash on the A36.

At around 3.30pm on November 14, police responded to an accident involving a motorbike and a car on Wilton Road.

The motorcyclist sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Salisbury District Hospital by ambulance, Wiltshire Police has confirmed.

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 3.28pm on Thursday, November 14 to a road traffic collision in Wilton, Salisbury.

"We sent one double-crewed land ambulance to the scene, and we conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Salisbury District Hospital”.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: "With help from nearby road workers, a section of the A36 was blocked to enable safe recovery and road surface cleaning."
