I HOPE that young children and dogs will be kept under close supervision if playing in the River Park.
The sharp-edged lumps of wood are not going to be comfortable to sit on, especially when wet and slimy.
The rusty “artwork” is neither attractive to look at (it hardly stands out) nor tactile.

LETTER: 'River Park Project an awful misuse of public money'
The unguarded scalloped edge of the hard landscaping going down to the water’s edge poses a real danger as the diverted river is now very fast flowing. I doubt if an adult, or especially a child or dog, would stand a chance of fighting their way out should anyone fall in.
Is it an improvement and taxpayers’ money well spent? It looks like a hotchpotch of ill-thought-out ideas to me – and not even an Archimedes Screw in the weir?
