The Great British Bake Off is scouting for contestants from Andover for its 16th series, set to air in 2025.
The show invites applications from anyone aged 16 or above and residing in the UK.
To be successful, applicants must demonstrate a love and passion for baking. The show encourages a wider baking skill set "than just baking cakes", as the series features weeks dedicated to bread, biscuits, and pastries.
Despite this, producers reassure that there's always room for improvement throughout the process, with many previous contestants learning and growing in the supportive environment of the tent. As part of the application, potential bakers are urged to provide comprehensive information about themselves and their baking experiences.

The producers aim to understand who you are, your baking style, and your past creations to determine what sets you apart. You're urged to include as many photos and videos as possible to showcase your creations.
If an applicant progresses to the next stage, they will be contacted by a member of the casting team. If an applicant hasn't received any communication from the show by Friday, February 14, 2025, then they have not been successful.
Tips for applying:
- A love and passion for baking is a must
- It is good if you have a broader baking skill than just baking cakes
- Include as much information about you and your baking in the application as possible
- Apply with videos and photos with your application
The deadline to enter is Monday, December 9, at 1pm. Keen bakers can submit their applications here: applyforbakeoff@loveproductions.co.uk.
