TWO servicemen in the British Army have been put under investigation after dressing in Nazi uniforms for a Halloween party.
Two men, said to be senior soldiers at Queens Royal Hussars, based in Tidworth, according to the Daily Mail, dressed up in Nazi costumes for a Halloween party.
Images posted on the Daily Mail website show two men with swastika armbands in Nazi suits and caps, raising their arms in salute.
The Mail article alleged that their regimental sergeant major had approved the outfits. The Journal asked the British Army whether this was true but they did not confirm or deny.
An Army spokesperson said: “The actions of these two individuals demonstrated very serious and significant shortfalls in judgement and behaviour. They both fell well short of the values and standards of the British Army, which is unacceptable.
“Both personnel were immediately removed from the party and the Service Police were informed. A formal investigation is now ongoing, so we won’t comment further.”
