A CHRISTMAS fair that last year raised more than £6,000 for two Salisbury schools is returning this month.
The Grammar Christmas Fair will be held on Saturday, November 23 between 10am and 2pm at Bishop Wordsworth's School.
Access to the fair will be via the school gates on Exeter Street or Cathedral Close.
Visitors can expect more than 40 stalls run by local stallholders and students, festive food and drinks, live music and a raffle.
Proceeds will go towards Bishop Wordsworth's and South Wilts Grammar School.
A spokesperson for Grammar Christmas Fair said: “Last year's event was amazing with record sales.
“We were so grateful to the higher number of parent and student volunteers – the success is all down to the number who get involved.
“Chris Child ran his second-hand book stall with his incredible team of volunteers, adding over £200 to the total.
“Across all the activities – café, stallholders contributions, donations, tombolas, games and the raffle – we raised over £6,000.
“The raffle alone raised almost £3,000 towards the schools. There was £3,000 each towards each of the school fundraisers.
“For BWS this is their minibus fund, and SWGS for updating their school community facilities and wellbeing projects.”
