A radio station based in Ludgershall has celebrated its 18th anniversary.

Castledown FM began in 2006 and has since expanded its reach from local FM broadcasting to a global audience via online platforms.

The station is run by voluntary presenters, including some from local BBC stations.

One such presenter, Steve Gercke, marked 50 years in radio this month.

The station, chaired by John Sparrow since its inception, has been a key part of the community, supporting various events with its popular outside events trailer.

John has witnessed the station's growth over the years, noting its ability to attract listeners from around the world.

Castledown FM also takes pride in nurturing talent, with former presenter Chris Steers now working as a producer for the BBC in the Midlands.

The station's team expressed their pride in celebrating both their 18th anniversary and the achievements of their former colleagues.

Castledown FM currently broadcasts on FM 104.7 and 107.6 and continues to provide a platform for local and global audiences.
