SALISBURY will pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country at the annual Remembrance Sunday service on November 10.
The ceremony in Guildhall Square will be led by the Salisbury Branch of the Royal British Legion, supported by the city council and St Thomas’s Church.
At around 10.30am, the parade will march from Avon Approach to the square.
Participants will gather at the War Memorial at 10.50am for a ceremony, which all are welcome to attend, and observe a two-minute silence at 11am, followed by prayers.

The parade will then march along New Canal, where Lord Lieutenant Sarah Troughton, accompanied by the High Sheriff of Wiltshire, Dr Olivia Chapple, and the mayor of Salisbury, cllr Sven Hocking, will take the salute.
The parade will then go to St Thomas’s Church for the Sunday Service at 11.40am before the civic party processes back to the Guildhall via St Thomas's Square.
Road closures: Remembrance Sunday in Salisbury
To ensure crowd and parade participants’ safety, Blue Boar Row and other roads along the parade route will be closed to traffic from 10.30am to 11.45am, and again from 12.15pm to around 1.30pm. Traffic diversions will be in place.
Road closures may affect some bus routes. Anyone planning to take the bus should check timetables on the Salisbury Reds website.
On Monday, November 11, there will be a small ceremony in Guildhall Square at 11am to mark Armistice Day, which all are welcome to attend.
