Reader Ruth Gibson has submitted a poem titled 'Where's the bear?' amid the arrival of Paddington Bear on Fisherton Street.
Paddington Bear as come to town,
We've been hunting him up and down.
First we tried in the street called Brown,
But he wasn't there so we left with a frown.
Where to next? The question is vexed.
So many places, our thoughts were mixed.
On Catherine Street we decided next,
But no bear there, our efforts were jinxed.

It was getting late, we're in such a state,
Where oh where will we find you mate?
We walked thro' the Close to the Farnham Gate,
But he wasn't there we were far too late.
We parted company and decided to meet,
In a cafe nearby to rest our poorly feet.
As we were hunting for an empty seat,
Hooray we found him on Fisherton Street!
We were in such amazement to find the bear,
A careful photograph we did share.
We skipped back home in a joyful cheer,
And made a quiche washed down with a beer.
