A 28-YEAR-OLD has pleaded guilty to possessing a class A drug at a hearing in court.

On November 1, 2024, Dillon Gray of 31 Greencroft Street pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine at Salisbury Magistrates Court.

At around 4.20am on March 18, 2024, police were called to a male gaining entry to a pub. Police chased him and caught up with him, where he was detained on Barnard Street in Salisbury.

He was arrested for burglary which has been dealt with separately and police conducted a search of him where they found a snap bag of white powder in his trouser pocket.

Gray has several previous convictions but none of these are drugs related, the court heard.

Magistrate Mr Swanton gave Gray a financial penalty of £180 which was made £120 after his guilty plea, surcharges of £48 and costs of £85.

In total, he owes the court £253 and has 28 days to pay this.
