Bemerton Heath residents are invited to learn about dementia at a roadshow event.
Wiltshire charity Alzheimer’s Support is hosting the drop-in event at St Michael’s Community Centre on Tuesday, November 12.
It will take place from 11am to 1pm and there will be a free sandwich and soup lunch from the church’s café.
Staff from Alzheimer’s Support will be present at the event to answer questions about memory loss and dementia.
The event is open to all ages, including younger people who wish to learn more about the condition.
Organiser Sarah Matthews said: "We are really looking forward to meeting people from the area.
"Many people are worried about their own memory or that of a relative, and sometimes knowing a bit more can be very helpful and reassuring.
"Whether it is just more information about the differences between normal ageing and dementia and the kind of support people that is available, to actually setting up practical services for individuals, it's a chance to connect and for people to meet us face to face."
The project is one of several initiatives in Wiltshire funded by the Integrated Care Board to help reduce health inequalities and improve people’s opportunities for better health.
