A DAY of live music brought the Market Square to life while raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Wiltshire Music Events UK hosted Music on the Market Square on Sunday, October 27, offering free entertainment for all ages and a diverse line-up of artists.

Crowds enjoyed listening to the soulful tunes of The Marley Experience, a leading Bob Marley and the Wailers tribute band, and performances by Jolyon Dixon, Rachel Sinnetta, Junkyard Dogs, The Leon Daye Band and The Tipsy Gypsies.

The event, which was sponsored by the Market Tavern and Ox Row Inn pubs, also had a licensed bar, craft stalls and food vendors.

He said: “We got about 2,000 people passing through during the eight hours we were there.

“People were really interested in and started dancing. It went really well. We were very pleased with it. The area was thriving. It brought good life to the Market Square.

“All the bands gave their services free of charge and were met with rapturous applause.”

He gave special thanks to The Marley Experience, who travelled from the Midlands to headline. Wiltshire Music Events has them lined up for more events in the county next year.
